This is an Amino-functional silicone, which is a PDMS siloxane backbone with aminoalkyl groups. This adds positive charges, making it adhere better to hair (negatively charged) = increase substansitivity (ability to adhere and stay on hair)

Can be used as a heat protectant and to speed up drying time (by capillary displacement of water held betwen hair fibers). The film it forms can be retained through multiple washes but doesn't build up on top of itself.
